Biography

Sandy Hudson is a political strategist and communications expert who believes in winning as a framework for justice. An audacious organizer, Hudson is unafraid to have the conversations needed to bring real change to the forefront. She is also the founder of Black Lives Matter – Toronto. She is Vice-Chair at the Black Legal Action Centre and is studying law at UCLA. She is co-editor of the bestselling volume Until We Are Free: Reflections on Black Lives Matter in Canada. Her writing can be found in The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, Maclean’s Magazine, Chatelaine, The Huffington Post, Now Magazine, and TVO.org.
