Biography

Dr. Helen Scott is the Executive Director of the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH). Under her leadership, CanWaCH has catalyzed collaboration among over 100 of Canada’s leading organizations and associates working to improve women and children’s health worldwide. Scott has been managing and collaborating on health policy and health care delivery projects for almost 20 years, including on World Health Organization (WHO) projects on childhood injury prevention across 49 countries; a national program for food fortification with folic acid; and, community-wide preterm birth prevention programs. She has a doctorate in epidemiology and holds an assistant professor appointment in the Epidemiology Department, Dalla Lana School of Public Health at University of Toronto.
