Biography
Barbara Gobis is a pharmacist, entrepreneur and disruptor in healthcare. She uses her unique mix of command and kindness to get things done and move people to do new work differently.
Gobis's official roles are as Director, Pharmacists Clinic and Program Lead, Pharmacists in PCN Program, at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia. Her specialty is in developing, implementing, and managing large-scale change initiatives within pharmacy organizations and front-line pharmacist practice. She joined the Faculty in April 2013 to develop, establish, and oversee the on-going success of the UBC Pharmacists Clinic.
Gobis completed her undergraduate pharmacy degree at UBC, her residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, ON, and her Masters of Science in clinical pharmacy at the University of Toronto. She is also a credentialed organizational coach, which is a critical skill to navigate today's changing health care environment.
