News conference at 11

Informed Opinions is officially releasing its research results this morning at 11 am at a news conference at the University of Ottawa’s law faculty — scene of our most successful pilot workshop that’s since yielded five published op eds from the informed law profs who participated.

Senator Nicole Eaton will be making an announcement about the government’s funding of Informed Opinions in Room 202, Fauteux Hall; Associate law prof Penelope Simons will be speaking about her experience of the workshop; and Carleton University journalism prof and former CBC reporter Susan Harada will talk about the value of the project from a journalist’s perspective.

The real draw, however, is the hand-cut cookies in the shape of the Informed Opinions logo: the woman’s symbol immediately beneath the speech bubble. Really! You read it here first!
