Biography

Lisa Lachance is the founder/co-owner of Wisdom2Action. They were the executive director of the CYCC Network since April 2013, which then became Wisdom2Action Ltd. in February 2018. Lachance uses their strong cultural competence and collaborative leadership skills to connect people in meaningful ways – so they can solve problems and move forward. Lachance has facilitated participatory community-building and knowledge-sharing workshops for thousands of people. They have consulted for Canadian, international, and United Nations organizations on children’s rights and gender equality projects.

Lachance is MLA for Halifax Citadel-Sable Island and was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in 2021.

Lachance's areas of expertise include knowledge mobilization, public policy, strategic planning and community engagement. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies and a Masters in Public Administration, both from Dalhousie University, and has started their PhD in Health. Lachance has also been recognized as an effective non-profit leader as past president and board member of a range of national Canadian non-profit organizations. They remain active in many community organizations in Halifax.
